One morning, I heard my name being called out.
Fortunately, it wasn’t the police.
I wasn’t being arrested. Nor was anyone asking me to wave the white flag, put my hands up, and get some pants on.
It was the company president delivering his closing remarks during the office anniversary party, an event attended by co-workers (many of whom I can call my friends).
